Pros

It is a very solid bank, but it does not pay to work there if you are near the bottom of the totem pole. The compensation is fairly good for opening up accounts but mid-level management is incompetent. Benefits are fairly good and they have a pension plan if you work there for over 3 years.

Cons

They treat all of their employees, at least in our district, poorly. They have no clue what is going on in their bank branches and could care less about employees and customers. They push employees to force customers into products which are not beneficial to them in order to increase numbers. If you are in a saturated market or a slow branch, good luck. Customers are sick of going into branches and being harassed.

Pros

The company has a wonderful reputation. There is no reason for you to worry about your employer! The health, dental and vision plan is excellent. They also have a wonderful pre tax transit program. Their benefits are pretty good. They also have locations throughout the country so if you would like to find a different location it is not difficult.

Cons

Some of the management is grossly incompetent and consistently displays vulgar attitudes and barbarian principles. Managers pitt employees against one another and try to get them to compete -but not in a positive way. They spread rumors to promote disharmony and constantly threaten you that someone else will get your job. They make you work off the clock and say its standard in the industry and if you don't do it someone else will.

Pros

JP Morgan chase is a stable firm that offers great benefits. JPMorgan Chase looks good on a resume because it is one of the leading financial firms and they are well respected throughout the country.

Cons

Decision-making is a "cookie-cutter' process and management often doesn't take individual circumstances into consideration. When comparing salaries of employees at JPMorgan Chase and other firms in the industry, it seems that employees at JPMorgan get paid a salary that is on the lower end. The firm tends to value the "corporate puppet," or the lemmings of the organization when considering promotions and advancement. It seems that an employee can sometimes "yes" their way up this corporate ladder, as well. The firm is also lacking programs to promote career advancement for people who are truly interested in broadening their horizons.
