Pros

Great opportunity to move into managed account role if your AM is a sucessful manager

Cons

Poor management by AM's all they do is keep changing what you need to do when selling products tend to micromanage everything you do and create unnessary stress. always changing incentive to benefit them and make it harder for you to make money yet they'll tell you otherwise. You are basically a PB with a little bit larger salary they pay far less than competing banks

Pros

Large company, not as likely to have lay-offs, good reputable firm, nice name to throw around. Their are posibilities for advancement, depending the career path you choose.

Cons

Bad reputation in small towns, people unhappy with banking/credit practices are shut down to any other product from chase, stop promoting people that don't produce in their current positions just so you don't have to go through paperwork. Also, I have talked to management before about career path development, and they have just brushed it to the side as not important. They are just fine leaving people in positions if it suits the company best.
