Company is doing great

Pros

After a tough transition (inevitable) of the company founder and CEO retiring and new, young management finding its way PLUS a world wide pandemic affecting all of our clients, things have really come together this year and the company’s direction is solid. Client base couldn’t be stronger. Also, after 30 years of below market healthcare benefits (offset a bit by a very generous 401k plan), the company offered very good healthcare this year.

Cons

Company is starting to feel more like a large corporation rather than a start up, but I guess that happens with significant growth over three decades.

Weird place, almost a cult

Pros

Interesting niche services in derivatives. Good place for geeky math nerds.

Cons

It was a weird workplace. Lots of very religious personnel, and the whole place had a cult-like feel. Some drank deep from the Kool-Aid, and thought they made money from culture and not the clients.
