Management hires and promotes friends and family instead of those with the skills to actually do the job, making the work environment more of a "club of friends" then a professional environment. Office politics make competently doing your job almost impossible, as upper management ignores problems with performance and simply shuffle the problem managers from one job title to another when performance is a problem, instead of addressing the shortcomings and hiring people with the skills to get the job done. The same managers that have worked for the company for decades are still running the show, making their way of doing business outdated and financially detrimental as they have no real management experience other than the very limited scope offered them in life-long careers in the same company.

Only allowed to work from home once a week, but that is changing pretty soon. Little bit Drama with Upper management but nothing that really bothers anyone.

Leadership is uninspiring and product management is too incompetent to recognize early opportunities. Acquisitions are poorly integrated. Acquisitions not well thought through and weak upper management cannot avoid meddling and breaking what was acquired. I feel badly for the employees of most of the companies Checkpoint acquired. The good, sharp people still left are not in management leadership positions. Most keep their heads down, mouths shut, and try to not get fired. This makes for a futile and unrewarding work experience. C suite management relies heavily on leaders promoted to high levels from one of the unprofitable acquisitions. If they were such fantastic leaders with the ability to deliver results, why was their business failing when they were acquired? Upper management not willing to take risk on new ideas until a competitor does it first. Then it is brilliant. More time spent beating down good ideas than encouraging them or imagining how to leverage them. Creates a culture where ideas are punished. Business cases are beat into the ground repeatedly until the champion simply gives up. Sr Management finds inventive ways to financially bonus themselves at the expense of their employees. Large bureaucracy suitable for very large corporation built by prior CEO, yet remains a sub-billion dollar mid size firm years later.

Literally everything else. Antiquated systems, bonus structure that makes it hard/unlikely to make your full bonus potential. Much of upper management gossips doesn't treat employees with respect. Had mass layoffs that resulted in people being "promoted" with a little extra pay, but actually doing 2 jobs. Culture is hard to explain, but it's not pleasant. Hard to understand how there can be such nice, but still a feeling of doom. I knew on my first day that it just wasn't right, and that feeling stayed until I left. Building is dark and musky.
