      Pros

      Good engineering work with a focus on high-quality output. Positive and collaborative attitude among team members. Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with a strong startup mentality. Interesting projects and the opportunity to make a real impact.

      Cons

      Engineering leadership has been vacant for too long. The absence of a senior engineering leader is hindering the organization’s growth and maturity.

      Checkr is not anymore what it was few years ago

      Pros

      Still working in many interesting projects and specially helping people to get jobs in a fair way.

      Cons

      Culture is changing recently, I feel it started being a company that cared about its employees for real, but now it looks like they only care if you are good enough, not interested at all in creating a path to improve or what is causing any demotivation. On my case I worked in Checkr for almost 5 years and my last manager and his boss (the VP) only pointed out a document with the new expectations of the company after a full context change to a completely new technology for me; instead of helping me to find the best path to success they humiliate and push to find that way by my own somehow.
