Pros

If you are a person who can be a workhorse, come here. The more you can work and the more tables you can take, the more money you will make. The managers are fairly okay with working around your availability, and we do get 50% off discounts on all food except our Ribeye steaks.

Cons

Extremely difficult to call in. Always have to get your shift covered. Often times we have too many servers on the clock, which means less tables and less money. Extremely hard work for not very big payout. People are often really harsh and super stingy with their money.

Pros

The table turnover rate is exceptional, they get in, they get out, and you're on to the next guest. I would have to say that the money is great, and the managers have a great wok ethic. Your coworkers are a lot fun to be around and you really do become a family, and stay one, even after you have left the company. I would recommend it for almost anybody, especially for people new to the food service industry.

Cons

Cheddar's is a very fast paced work environment, you barely have time to take a brake from your tables, if you do not have the ability to juggle multiple tables, and guests, you will be overwhelmed, or you will quickly learn how to manage them. The turnover rate is higher than most other restaurants in the Waco area, when it comes to employees. All in all i would say at Cheddar's you either sink or swim, and if you learn how to swim you will enjoy it. You work a lot of hours, but that is to be expected in the restaurant business.
