Pros

Really appreciated the people I met, and the support over the years. Got exposed to really impactful work on the Global Health Supply Chain program Keeping remote life was great

Cons

Where can I begin? Haha in all seriousness, the amount of trauma I've collected from this workplace was insane. Obviously the decline of USAID is quite sad, but how leadership still did the workforce dirty is wild. Good luck to the rest of the company, hopefully our ESOP still counts for something

Pros

The mission and the people you work with

Cons

Management insists on upholding company values, yet consistently fails to demonstrate them. They laid off long-tenured employees without even a seven-day notice, while smaller organizations managed to offer more advance warning and severance. The company revised its furlough policy just one day before furloughing hundreds of people, reducing the notice period from 30 days to 7 solely to serve its own interests. It is alarming that a billion-dollar corporation claims it cannot sustain operations for even a single month following the USAID pause. In addition to mass furloughs and terminations, leadership retained select staff without transparency, fairness, or any objective process—decisions appeared to be driven purely by SVP preferences. Even after layoffs, new opportunities have been quietly circulated among remaining employees or those with minimal tenure, effectively eliminating open competition and enabling the rehiring or hand-picking of favored individuals.
