Extremely Toxic Work Environment

Pros

The company lucked out into a business that is growing. That's the end of it. All the other pros listed below are from recruiters that need to sell people on this company

Cons

The work-life balance at ChenMed is awful. The company expects you to be on call 24 hours a day and working all the time. Expectations are unrealistic and literally, no one is safe from the whims of the owners. Departments get blown up with little notice, people who were recently hired are unexpectedly fired. This happens often! The result is a company with a very high turnover rate where everyone is afraid to speak their minds. An example is that they point to company surveys on how there isn't a problem, but people are afraid to fill those surveys out honestly.

Pros

The absolute best thing is working with the patients. You will enjoy many of your colleagues and you get lots of free food. Pay starts out decent. It could be a great place if they would address their core problems versus giving lip service to them. There is constant organizational growth if you're looking to relocate.

Cons

-Incredibly high turnover everywhere in every department. People are here today and gone tomorrow. -Top heavy organization while they work the "little people" to death (see above) -Focus is really numbers and little else -Communication is poor and things are changing all the time -Often a culture of fear (see high turnover) - They world rather have 1 person fill multiple roles versus adequately staff. You want to believe it's a temporary situation, but it's a chronic problem with little reward for your sacrifice (See high turnover again) -Increases don't match the work you do over time (back to high turnover)
