Pros

Lots of training opportunities. Friendly, multicultural environment. Scope for creativity. Best place if you are gay.

Cons

Sometimes felt like government office with redundancy of work and bureaucracy of procedures. Too many teams and too little communications between the teams. Lots of nepotism.

Pros

The thrill of exploring for oil with big pockets backing you. Great technical back up with the internal service companies.

Cons

Way too many processes to get anything done easily. Not Cvx fault but $30 oil and restructuring and layoffs tough on morale.
