Pros

Good company if you can start at a young age & spend enough years with them.

Cons

Dayrates for consultants not up to industry standard.

Pros

High salary, flexible work hours, good benefits, opportunity for travel, emphasis on personal and environmental safety

Cons

Success in the company and industry are still somewhat depending on the "good ole' boy" networks. For many jobs, you need to be mobile, willing to move to field locations all over the globe. That's hard when you have a working spouse and a family.

Pros

The Horizons program for new hires allows you to steer your own career. It gives you the opportunity to contribute to both local and global projects on various scales. The pay is good, and there is opportunity for annual bonuses. The people are friendly, professional, and help create a great work environment even when under pressure.

Cons

Multiple layers of management. Locations within US aren't the most desirable (Bako, Houston, Midland etc.).
