Pros

Decent salary and benefits for employees, but engineers receive preferential treatment

Cons

The performance review process (PMP) is highly political and not at all fair contrary to the corporate policy that is highly touted. Anyone with authority over another can say anything on the review form without proof or documentation. The supervisor's word is FINAL no matter how much the employee protests.

Pros

I've worked for a few Fortune 100 companies, but Chevron is the BEST. I'm going on 7 years with the company. Chevron values hiring smart/qualified people, and the culture is really rooted in "The Chevron Way." Leadership says what it means, and means what it says - I've noticed that they're open about what's going well, and what needs to improve. (This is pretty rare!) I love to be with a company that invests in the communities where they work - all around the world.

Cons

If there were cons I'd share them.
