      Pros

      the pay is alright, but the people are very friendly. a company this large has all types of positions avilable to move around to.

      Cons

      too much process oriented work. large corporations always remove all forms of creativity and innovaion with an over emphasis on process and risk reduction.

      Pros

      The people at Chevron are great - friendly, helpful, smart, diverse. The company truly has a team culture. Excellent focus on safety. Lots of wonderful career opportunities within one company.

      Cons

      Advancement in such a big company often depends to a large degree on who you know, not on your work quality. Unless you have a powerful "sponsor," you can get bypassed in terms of career advancement. Also too much focus on consensus decision-making. Requirement of global mobility for high potential employees is hard for employees in career couples, especially women.

      Pros

      freedom and democratic environment, good working space, located in central tokyo area, overseas biz trips chances, company training is good and effective

      Cons

      although it is a US company, due to located in Japan, the company has a deep impact of traditional Japanese culture especially business habits.
