Pros

Good pay and benefits, company-funded retirement program, very good 401K, opportunities for seeking various positions (theoretically speaking).

Cons

Focus is on the upstream business with recent significant reductions in the downstream work force. Shifting management priorities and internal focus on bureacracy and satisfying internal metrics versus the bigger picture items creates frustration and inefficiencies.

Pros

Good salaries, great benefits (Pension Retirement Plan, 401K Plan, Success Sharing Plan, medical and dental benefits, etc.) Committed Senior Management personnel. Chevron is a great at donating to charitable causes!!

Cons

Chevron has an ineffective performance evaluation plan! Conversations with coworkers are filled with complaints from employees and managers alike about the unfairness of the plan being used to evaluate employee performance.
