Pros

It's a slow-pace environment where you can get comfortable. No micromanaging by supervisors (although that may be unique to my experience) Decent work-life balance.

Cons

Very conservative culture - typical to the oil and gas industry, seemingly. A bit slow moving and not completely compatible with Gen Y expectations. People are very tolerant of "everyone's ideas"...this is good, for the most part, but I find it a bit tedious to have to listen to all the BAD ideas and thoughts.

Pros

The pay and benefits are great, plenty of room to experience different areas of IT within the company. Co-workers are generally very helpful.

Cons

Their HR department can be very slow but this is typical with most corporations. The number of young people with both genders is very limited on both side especially females.
