Pros

Covered parking garage, next to DART train station(s), you will not find any better nursing care at any other facility in North Texas.

Cons

Salary scale far below comparable market values. Management too far removed from front-line to comprehend what it takes to provide exceptional patient care. Internal department cover-ups, etc. are commonplace.

Pros

Garage parking - athough the spaces are tiny and no one seems to know how to park and everyone speeds through the garage (so, watch out or you will get hit or run over); Manager is good about when I need to take time off (letting me work a half day sometimes, as needed);

Cons

Everything else - the pay, the work, the treatment from managers, lack of communication, etc. The focus of the hospital is on the nursing staff. If you work in administration or a different department, then be prepared to get ignored. And, they like to use the excuse (for lower pay) that we are a children's hospital - so they can't afford to pay higher salaries. Yet, the executives never seem to cut their bonuses. Funny how that works.

Pros

Love the work we do! I love my team I work with. Most people are so happy to be working at Children’s Benefits are great…. The insurance plan last year was so much better! Deductible has doubled and they close a terrible insurance provider.

Cons

The department is so young! There is a lot of turnover and employees constantly complain about being too busy when they aren’t. Leadership has a favorites which everyone in the department is very aware of. The department is toxic and so much gossip about coworkers. People are getting promoted who have no right to be. Management is unprofessional and will go off on you.
