Pros
Chobani has great benefits. The medical benefits could use a bit of improvement, but overall, great. The hours and shifts are not bad, and there is a bit of incentive for graveyard shift. In general the coworkers and management are polite.
Cons
If you are there for a paycheck, great. If your there for advancement and career, go elsewhere. The internal advancement does not take into consideration ANY previous job experience. No point in submitting a resume. The entire internal hiring system is based on personal bias and favoritism. I have been training for quite some time for a specific position. I was turned down once, and the person promoted was trained by me, had more unexcused absences, and barely did the normal position. I was recently turned down for the same position. I was told it was due to attendance, (less days missed than the above mentioned person), and that I needed to work on "working in a high stress environment." Interesting since I used to work on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier, and my current position is more stressful than the lead position I was applying for. Not to mention I was performing my position and that of a lead, with no extra pay or incentive. The way this company hires internal, is precisely the same reason I left the military. People not doing their job, but fraternizing and not doing their job, just doing things that make them appear better.
