      General Manager No Advancement

      Pros

      I am a general manager for the last 3 years. Was an assistant general manager for 2 years prior. I feel as I am stuck as a GM and have so much more to offer. I wish to have more advancement but with this company I will never advance as there is not a position to advance to. Would love to become a QAR or area director or area manager to help with other Choice properties.

      None - it used to be great. Now it is terrible.

      Micro managers, ridiculous workload expectations and no appreciation for employees.

      Great time off, good benefits.

      Cons

      Increasing amount of budget cuts on a lot of the fringe benefits could be a bad sign for future outlooks. Slow to adjust to market value for employees. Multiple employee surveys have indicated people are not happy and would leave for same pay at another company, nothing has seemed to improve that.
