      Pros

      If you search hard enough you can find a pocket full of caregivers, managers, and directors that understand the business end of Healthcare. These are the “go to” team that understand policies, regulations, and teamwork.

      Cons

      Each of the “go to” caregivers are overwhelmed with doing the work of others. Education is horrible! Promoting individuals based on their gender and race is more important than promoting the best candidate. Leadership should evaluate how it looks when a healthcare system decides to focus on a specific patient population instead of ALL patient populations.

      Preceptors will tell you you’re doing great, and then turn around and tell your boss the exact opposite.

      Good salary. People work hard and are dedicated.

      Cons

      Management needs an overhaul. Decisions are made in a very reactive manner without any real thought. Managers feel they can treat reports horribly and HR and C-level executives allow it by looking past the unprofessional behavior. Leaves hard working employees helpless and unheard.
