Pros

Company employees in every department who are professional and pleasant to work with. Flexible hours and openess to remote working. Excellent health benefits including pension and 401k. Many opportunities for internal training and advancement.

Cons

Chubb is a large worldwide organization, with many layers of management and reporting. The necessary bureaucracy can be overwhelming at times. Management is always seeking feedback and input from employees on tips for improvement. At times such meetings, performance reviews, mandatory training sessions seem a burden to normal job workflows.

Pros

- The company is doing well - If you're a schmoozer with few or no skills, you'll fit right in - You don't need to know much to work here

Cons

- you won't learn much from staff (they are unskilled) - junior level people in senior level positions - dead wood abounds - IT is a good 15 years behind the industry - "who you know and who likes you" is of major importance

Pros

* Chubb values underwriting expertise, claims handling, and relationships with their brokers have a solid reputation in the industry. These values come into action with their matrix reporting structure with branch managers who manage the agents and underwriters who need support from home office. The underwriters have to appease both in order to do their job correctly.

Cons

* The matrix organization can be cumbersome at times trying to please different leaders and to keep everyone in the loop. * They have too many meetings. * The have slimmed down their home office staff who has been overworked and too focused on tactics at times such that they could not develop strong enough strategies.
