Pros

Great location, great gym and cafe. Good place to get into the insurance world but don't plan on making it too long as a epl examiner before management burns you out. Thankfully I was able to apply for a new position andI am no longer in Claims.

Cons

Overworked and under paid. The epl examiners are all on a burnout path. The turnover is so high which is sad because there is so much training that is involved in the job. The volume of claims vs the number of examiners is off because of the horrible high turn over. Management clearly knows there is an issue yet does not seem to care.

Pros

There's always work to do. New management is coming.

Cons

Heavy workload. Bad work/Life balance. Supervisors haven't adjusted claims in 7+ years so they don't understand what is like to adjust claims. A select few are nice, others watch your back. People cry at their desk. Lots of people are on antidepressants.

Pros

Chubb was a phenomenal company prior to the merger. The level of inclusion and diversity was top notch. I cannot speak for what it will be post merger as my job was eliminated.

Cons

The speed with which decisions were made just prior to and after the merger was unrealistic. Leadership did not appropriately evaluate talent. Most decisions were made based on third party information and many employees did not even have the opportunity to "interview" or share their qualifications with decision makers. Significant talent was lost. A significant lack of leadership at the VP level was evident. Especially prepping employees for next steps, what to anticipate and creating opportunities for employees to get in front of the decisions makers face to face. There was evidence of favoritism at that level.
