Pros

promotion is you work hard, free movies, consistent pay of mimium wage. Good high school kind of job.

Cons

you will have to work every thursday, friday, saturday night since that is when the movie theater makes most of its money. Having to deal with rude customers and people who complain how much they have to pay for food. You have to up-sell products which are unhealthy and gross.

Pros

I learned so much here. The benefits are great. Free movies for you and a date :)

Cons

The bosses, well, that's all they did, boss you around. Stay in their office not doing a thing. Favoritism is a big thing there. If the managers hit it off with you you'll be fine, but you have to be a " popular" person for the managers at my store to like you.

A high school-like environment, with entitled customers.

Pros

Scheduling is determined by your availability (flexible), jobs are very easy to learn, and promotion to management is fairly easy if you're reliable, a hard worker, and have good credit. Most people are friendly, and it's easy to find people you enjoy hanging out with outside of work. You also get free popcorn and drinks during breaks, and a friend get to watch free movies.

Cons

Customers can be very entitled, and management is eager to please them, even if it means throwing employees under the bus (I've seen this happen many times). The theater is open 365 days of the year, and getting the big holidays off is very tough; the two or three time off slots for holidays are given out by seniority (good for veterans...bad for everyone else). Both employees and management work long hours for little pay, resulting in a high turnover rate. People come and go, and there seems to be an almost high school environment, where rumors spread easily, everyone wants to know everyone's business, and both employees and management can get in arguments over things that have nothing to do with work.
