Pros

Free movie viewings, free soda, free popcorn, and seasonal competitions. It is a great place to work if you love watching and talking about movies, and co-workers and management made the environment a fun place to work!

Cons

The pay is very low, and did not receive appropriate wage increase after taking on new responsibilities as a projectionist. Sometimes there was not enough variation between working concessions and ushering during the week (it's nice to not always have to do the same thing over and over).

Pros

One of my favorite parts of working at cinemark was my coworkers. Everyone got to know each other and we made work genuinely fun(ny). You get to see movies for free, which is a bonus. It is easy to schedule days off, the hours are great for students because the most busy days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and nights in general. Just about all of the management was very friendly and understanding, especially when I was just beginning my job there. You also get the opportunity to change your position, if you request it, which is nice. Salary was decent.

Cons

Customers can be horrifying, not the company's fault. If you work in the box office, expect to stand for up to 9 hours in one day (ouch!). Honestly though, not much can be said as far as cons go...

Pros

The work environment is a lot of fun. The employees they hire are fun people, mostly the younger crowd. Management is fun as well, not being too strict with their rules. They still follow their guidelines, it's just that they do it without the heavy hammer and chains.

Cons

The biggest downside would be the hourly wage. It's minimum wage, even though all the employees work hard, and multitask every single day they work. Not only that, but the hours can be very tiring. Sometimes employees don't leave until 2:30 in the morning on weekends. Raises are hard to come by as well. It's a fun work environment, but it doesn't fully coat the greediness the corporation holds on its employees.
