Pros

Some positions, teams, and managers are great and have a very good work life balance.

Cons

You may hire into a position completely different where you have no future regardless of how well you perform. It is all determined by internal politics and if you are lucky enough to be in the inner circle. The latter can result from a random hallway conversation, an email, or where your cubicle is. Do you feel lucky? Overall there are good managers and executives here that try to do the right thing but be careful. There are some incompetent and unsavory executives here that only care about their own advancement.

Cirrus has a relaxed work environment and does a great job of hiring hard-working people who help each other succeed. The company offers fabulous health benefits and a decent 401(k) plan. There are tons of other perks such as employee events, free snacks, a shuttle service, and an onsite clinic. The CEO is a very straight-forward and approachable.

Cons

Remote work is generally discouraged, some internal politics/bickering.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. You list a large number and just some of the great programs that make this a great place to work. As far as easing the commute experience, is public transportation an option for you? Capital Metro has expanded their offerings with better routes and more frequency in recent months. And these services are 100% reimburseable. The Cirrus Logic shuttles, the Green Line and Orange Line, are also a great -- and no cost! -- way to get to work hassle free.
