Established market leader in India. Good experience of channel sales as well as direct customer interaction. Huge suite of products that add to the experience. Very well recognised in the industry. Very stringent on processes and systems. Good learning opportunities.

Cons

Growth is limited from a career advancement point of view as the top is heavy with old-timers. Weekly commit on sales targets adds to continuous pressure at the workplace.

Very diverse, Cisco Choice Internship Programs allows interns to have a say in which Cisco technology they work on. Cisco is also very rich as can be seen in their dominance in the networking field plus their numerous recent acquisitions.

Cons

If a Startup type atmosphere is your thing, Cisco may not be the best place to work, unless you are working on one of their newer products.

Pros

I started working for Cisco thinking that this is the company that I wanted to retire with. It had the name and the market share to prove. The reputation of treating employees fairly and rewarding them based on performance was also high on my list.

Cons

During the bad times, the true Cisco came to light. Bad Managers were promoted. Wrong decisions were taken and good people either were let go or simply resigned, like myself.
