Pros

Cisco has great benefits and is phenomenal at promoting flexible work. Cisco empowers employees to innovate and be creative; to take charge of finding solutions for problems. If you are a self starter it is easy to have an interesting job.

Cons

There are a HUGE amount of politics going on. Secrets, backstabbing, unfair promotions. It is a very competitive environment. Some groups have way too much process and others not enough. It's easy to get lost in the shuffle.

Stable and growth company. Good management team. Very broadcast product lines for networking product.

Cons

Becoming too large. Not very successful to build consumer oriented products.

Pros

Saying you work for Cisco. They take care of their employees, lots of perks, lots of interesting classes. They have a lot of money to spend and it definitely shows.

Cons

Communication is sometimes difficult, as it is a very diverse group. Interns don't always have as much leadership as I would like, and a lot of them goof around because they have nothing to do. All the computers given out are Windows laptops, which is annoying when you're developing a Unix system.
