Constant tech layoffs. My entire department was laid off, except for the highest-paid employee, the only man, who openly declared in front of the team and manager that he'd do the bare minimum if he wasn't let go in these layoffs.

Teams are extremely silo-ed so it's difficult to shove your way through the politics to get actual work done. Layoffs are frequent and can impact anyone at any time, It's hard to tell if upper management knows how their company is running and what is actually important for both the workers and the customers.
