      Where is the leadership?

      Hard workers with ability and desire to do more, to create more, sell more (felt in the sales leadership side)

      Where is the leadership and accountability? I just saw that the leaders went to Davos yet we recently laid off people and my bet is we will have more celebrity check ins and no one is raising the flag on how tone deaf this is. Why isn't Chuck checking Fran or the board for that matter? Why are we ok with mediocre executives acting like celebrities? and the leaders clearly having favorites as evidence by all the check ins and who is getting camera time.

      Pros

      First of all, Cisco is a really special company. There are so many supportive, talented individuals. It's just that the politics of leadership and lack of transparency in major decision making ruins it.

      Cons

      I work in AppD and we've just had a new leader come in from IOT. It's a disaster. He shows up to all-hands and talks a lot about mental health - but is nowhere to be seen for real, actual business decisions. It's all talk, not action. No focus on real, actionable things which would make people feel good about their work. No direction, no strategy and very limited support. It's a shame, as this is pushing great people out.

      political culture, even at a team level. no feedback on work other than "nothing to say" or "you shouldn't be here" (then later, "nothing to say") culture is completely dead, soulless. basically a technological backwater at this point, ridiculous decisions made at every level. priorities not really aligned with making good products, company is doomed in some areas. all the other reviews are absolutely true, the company is filled with bad management. I didn't believe it, but sure enough I honestly don't understand why people stay here for years, I cant imagine doing so.
