      Pros

      I was employed by the Cisco Consulting Services organization. The was truly nothing positive about it. I have never been a member of a more dysfunctional organization. The only good thing I can think of is that four years have passed and perhaps corporate leadership has finally figured out how to build and operate a consulting services organization.

      Cons

      Everything ... poor mission ... poor leadership and management ... severe political infighting ... truly perverse managers with no understanding of how to lead and direct effort ... everyone watching out for themselves and "assassinating" others in order to advance. I have never been a member of a more dysfunctional organization.

      Pros

      Good work life balance, nice people layered across the motivation.

      Cons

      Hardly no motivation to improve. Company culture heavily focused on layoffs. Rigid "promo freezes" create weird culture where managers open "new reqs" to promote people instead of simply rewarding top contributors. Loosen up the OpEx and you will likely retain top talent, thereby driving revenue growth.
