      Just ugh. Really again with the layoffs???

      Pros

      The people are in general great. It's nice to say you work for Cisco.

      Cons

      Layoffs again and again and again, and they do it so poorly! You'd think after 6 or 7 years straight they'd have the process figured out by now, which is endemic and illustrative of so many failures within the company. Renewed focus on laying off more senior employees to replace them with cheaper less seasoned college hires. No stock. No real growth.

      It's Indian Ghetto

      Pros

      Easy going atmosphere. If you aim at being mediocre without being spotted, this is the place for you.

      Cons

      It is not an American company. It is the Ghetto of the screwed up Indians. 80% of engineering workforce is mediocre Indian engineers. Everyone is old and married has kids and stuff.

      Work/life balance, excellent people and plentiful talent, still a good culture and values about fair play and caring for people

      Cons

      An interesting mix of strong hatred of clear goals with accountability, thick red-tape bureaucracy, self-serving senior leadership that has been brought in externally mixed with the wrong sort in power internally
