Pros

Citi has a great work/ life balance with a flexible work schedule. There is a young and fun corporate culture.

Cons

Compensation is very poor. Promotions are given without salary increases. Decisions made are from so many levels above that they don't make practical sense when applied. The company is full of overpaid managers that do very little to contribute to the bottom line while the first three levels of positions are considered expendable.

Pros

-Good benefits (although have been getting worse over the years) -Exposure to big challenges: if you can do it here, you can do it anywhere

Cons

-In the consumer area, very little opportunity for promotions/big raises. You need to come in at a good title/salary or you are doomed -Work environment very depressing- so big and full of silos that getting things done takes a small miracle every time. Overall strategy keeps changing
