Pros

I continuously said to my friends outside of the firm that the ONLY good thing about this company was their coffee machines & unisex bathrooms on the 4th floor of the NYC office. Everyone was very nice to me (not sure they were actually happy with their lives though)

Cons

- No culture. Very overwhelming feeling that you are being micro-managed - In order to have an "unplanned" work from home day - you need to ask for approval from your department head, send the approval from your department head to HR for their approval, then take the approval from your department head and the approval from HR and send that for approval from the billing department. I may even have missed a level approval. This protocol makes it virtually impossible to "work from home" and shows a massive sign of distrust from upper management to lower management. - very depressing place to work. Definitely consider alternative options.

Pros

- They have been growing so the name means something. - Some of the partners are very smart

Cons

- Bad product - the partners are encouraged to take on so much work that they give a terrible product. Clients complained all the time that no partner ever answered their emails or calls. This doesn’t make you feel proud of where you work. You need to encourage a best in class product before pushing more clients on everyone. - No one cares about anyone. Literally you are just a number to them - No culture. This firm is a roll up of dozens of firms with different cultures. - All of the partners are old school and think they are the boss because they were the boss at their little fiefdoms before merging there firms in - CEO is very aggressive and pits all the offices against each other. Everyone is scared of him and this creates a cutthroat environment - No minorities in leadership - Everyone works way too hard. - Dress code isn’t bad, but a lot of the partners wear suits and thus many mid level and lower level people feel they need to wear suits - It’s business first, people second. They don’t even try to make you feel special. You are only a billable hour. - Many managers and partners are very old and set in their ways. It can be depressing as someone in your 20s seeing people top out in their careers at 32. - Unless you merge your practice in, it will be tough to become partner.

Pros

Medical benefits are good. Most people are wonderful to work with.

Cons

There is racism and bullying. If they don't like you, they make your work life miserable to push you out or find reasons to have you fired. I have seen it done to three people and I have been here for just over a year.
