Amazing Place to Work!

Pros

I can't find a reason to leave this place. The work life balance is great. Management is very organized and approachable. My hard work does not go unnoticed and not only am I progressing everyday but, so is the firm. They really care about the staff here and want to see us grow. I am grateful to be a part of such a friendly work environment!

Cons

Not much to say here. The firm should host more engaging events aside from the typical happy hours. The firm outing two years ago was one of my favorite Citrin Cooperman events. These memorable events should happen more often!

Pros

Citrin Cooperman is a great place to work. The people are very friendly and helpful with an open door policy with anyone to ask questions. It feels as if we are a family here because of how close we are. It provides so much opportunity for growth and to work on a variety of different clients that we service.

Cons

There are not many downsides to Citrin Cooperman in particular as the accounting career can be overwhelming and demanding at times. Citrin Cooperman tries to relieve the stress as much as possible.

Pros

Two of the biggest upsides of working at Citrin are the opportunities to work closely with clients and really grow on engagements as a professional and the open door policy. Since starting at Citrin I have been given the chance to take control of the engagements that I work on and interact directly with the clients. This has allowed me to grow as a professional learning how to interact with clients as opposed to just sitting in front of a computer preparing returns. Additionally the managers, directors, and partners I work with all have open door policies, everyone is more than willing to help answer questions and teach you when you run into issues. They realize here that fostering the growth of their staff internally helps the company and the staff. One of the best parts, especially in one of the outer offices (ie not the NYC office) is that you have a smaller firm feel but all the resources of a large firm at your disposal.

Cons

I cannot think of any cons specific to Citrin. Just as you will find at any accounting firm you work for, the tax season hours are grueling, and there is a lot that is expected from you. It can be difficult working for multiple people and juggling the workload.
