Pros

There are companies that pay you for your hard work. Then there’s the companies that pay you well for your hard work. A company where the President/ Owner shakes your hand, looks you in the eye and tells you how much he appreciates your hard work. He doesn’t just say it he means it.

Cons

There’s no cons that I can think of

Pros

Family owned company that is rapidly expanding and will likely take over a large market share of the industrial laundry business in the Midwest. Great business outlook.

Cons

I wanted to love this place and I did, until everything changed. At first glance, CITY is great. You feel the passion and the fact that it's a family-owned business with closely aligned values. That's where the issues start, having now worked for a different company, CITY's policies are hopelessly outdated. A dresscode that's probaly 15 years behind and an approach to HR that's equally as outdated. I want through 3 different HR directors (One temporary) none with actual HR backgrounds and/or backgrounds that only loosely mirrored the requirements needed in HR. They tell you one thing but do the other. Family values are at the top of the list for CITY but don't let them fool you, they are cut throat. As soon as you have no use for them anymore or are trying to get out of line with ideas etc, you are done and they'll drop you like a hot potatoe. You can talk about family all you want but family also means dealing with the difficult ones. At CITY. it's money and growth over everything else. During my time there, the company expanded rapidly, which is a great thing but they are also losing that family feel and all of the values they portray. I dealt with a lot of backstabbing people that I trusted but should'nt have. Everything makes the rounds inside CITY so you are better off keeping personal problems or professional issues to yourself. I wouldn't want anyone working here, especially at the beginning of their careers. A minor note on being behind their times. Their benefits package is awful and very limited (vision only at walmart) 401K is up to par. The biggest deal breaker, no paid vacation. NON - If you need to take off, you better have money saved up to cover. It's an outdated policy that doesn't fit into today's working world.

Pros

Other drivers are great to work with

Cons

Management lied to me from the get go. Told me I'd start out at a certain pay and I didn't. Told me I'd get a raise after 90 days and I didn't. Was told I was going to get a route but then I was stuck on the lowest paying route the company has after they fired a guy a day before he went on paternity leave. Was fired for bringing up pay. Thought doing the exact same job as others but making 15-20 grand less than them was absolutely ridiculous.
