      Typical government job. Low stress. Good Benifits (like newborn time off), nice leadership/people. Lots of technology to learn.

      Cons

      Lots of IT Projects/technology to learn. Jack of all trades master of none. Leadership will push projects without consulting IT if it's possible.

      Understaffed for many years and it shows in lack of technical standards and processes. Slowly staffing up to appropriate levels but getting new positions approved is painfully slow.
