Pros

You will get a lot of experience working with Clark because they will just throw you in the middle of it sink or swim style

Cons

Unreasonable expectations for what is expected from new hires. Very little oversight and mentor ship. It's all about the bottom line and this company has clearly crunches the numbers that it's cheaper to hire more people and take advantage of the fact they are salaried and work them till exhaustion. It's a cycle with a high turnover rate and lots of new hires. It's unlikely you will do any real engineering just manage change orders and oversee mundane paperwork

Pros

-Excellent connections with the DC real estate market -Well diversified portfolio including many wholly owned subsidiaries operating under different company names in different sectors. Opportunities to move within groups -Offices throughout the nation including Florida, Texas, and California -Clark University is the best new employee development program of any construction company -High profile jobs, people will know what you are talking about when you build a stadium, convention center, etc. -Great resume booster, after 3-5 years you can expect a monthly call or email from a recruiter

Cons

-Management is top heavy (Many VP's and above) -Operations can have long hours and weekend work -There is no clear connection between effort/performance and advancement within the company -Support workforce has limited opportunities for advancement unless upper level managers leave -Operations workforce answers to a a new executive and VP on each project, easy to get lost in the shuffle -Very loose and informal review and development process, staff and management are well aware that there is no link between review and promotions/compensation
