Pros

I have been with Renew for 5 years. During my 5 years I have seen many staff come and go. I have worked in low key homes, medical homes and high paced behavioral homes. All were and still are a great experience for me. The people I work with are valued, appreciated and respected for the services they provide to the clients we serve. Many people have been promoted from with in the company to Behavioral Support Specialists, Lead Staff, HR Staffing Coordinators, Program Managers. If you have a desire to move up all you have to do is let someone know. Show your willingness to carry out the responsibilities it requires. I believe in the company I work for because we all have the same desire and goal. To give the client's we serve a better quality of life. Working with Renew is one of the most rewarding experiences I have had. I am glad to be part of such a great team.

Cons

Renew has a lot of long hours, if not careful you will get job burnout really fast. It's hard to put your needs above the clients you serve. It's hard to leave your work at work and not take it home with you.

Love/hate relationship

Pros

The staff and supervisors were friendly and approachable. Most seemed dedicated to their clients and open to collaborating in order to provide the best care. Numerous opportunities for training, especially related to behavioral treatments.

Cons

Not enough actual job training for specific tasks, processes, electronic record keeping, etc. A lot of learning happened "in the moment" which meant that employees often didn't learn company procedures until they made a mistake. Pay structure is also designed in a way that clinical staff end up spend time on things for which they are not compensated (or adequately compensated).

Thank you for your review of Family Behavioral Resources. It is always nice to read both pros and cons when they are given from a place of constructive criticism. We continue to work on our training with an ultimate goal to provide our clinicians with the best tools and resources to ensure they are successful. Thank you, Amber Nelis, PHR Human Resources Manager

Pros

It’s really great to work in a supportive environment.

Cons

Benefits could improve. I’ve worked here quite a while and discontinued my benefits.
