Since turnover is so high, CCS brings in cohorts of idealistic, smart, and dedicated teachers on an annual basis who are a pleasure to work with. After 3 months, most of them will be gone.

Cons

You won’t learn anything meaningful about how to be an educator at Classical. Instead, you’ll learn how to subject students to a racist, rigid behavior management system while repeating curricular scripts intended to pass as classroom dialogue. Attrition is high and network management is at best chaotic while teachers are subject to routine degradation in the name of “coaching” and “support.” Consider this a warning and pass over this employer alongside all “no excuses” charter schools.

Good for people who absolutely know they want a Master’s of education and to become a teacher

The most unprofessional place I have ever worked. The only senior teachers there have only been teaching 3 or 4 years. The system denies kids basic autonomy and just teaches to a test
