Scholar performance and growth placed above ALL else (as it should be).
Pros
-Scholars are at the forefront of every action taken at this school. Every effort is made to research, practice, and purchase any resource and experience to improve teacher and scholar performance. -Teachers are encouraged to have an open-mindset and be life-long learners. Professional development is provided on a monthly basis. Teachers come together to learn, disseminate, and discuss different teaching methodologies, access different resources and theories, and shared best practices. -Teachers have an extensive system of support that provides assistance with procuring materials, managing scholar behavior, practicing and learning different teaching techniques, contacting parents, managing professional relationships, improving routines and schedules, and even simply maintaining an effective classroom environment.
Cons
Unfortunately, high expectations and performance are synonymous with long tiring work hours. The day is long, and it doesn’t end when the scholars go home. Fortunately, the work that we do is highly rewarding and worthwhile. These children deserve to have the best curricular materials and instructional practices delivered to them daily. Any enthusiastic educator who believes that children, regardless of their zip code or background, can be successful, happy, and productive, would be happy to put in the time and effort required to meet this objective.
