Decent pay but toxic leadership

Pros

The overall pro's would include getting a jump start within a career, potentially inside manufacturing and steel making, with rather amazing benefits and a great steady paycheck. The overall experience gained is unlike any other as you will be challenged DAILY.

Cons

Again, you are challenged DAILY. There is a rather large lack of oversight from upper management and they are heavily disconnected within the work force and with their bottom management who keep the mills running. The pay does NOT outweigh the added stress and ALWAYS on-call 24/7 scheduling. The ability to hire replacements is a huge stressor and issue as majority of the workforce is spread thin and struggling to maintain good work-life balance. This place is great for youthful engineers and managers to begin their careers, but can quickly absorb you and never let you go become a better version of you.

Pros

Incredibly nice people with a low key vibe. I thought it was going to be a hard labor job to pay so much but there is not a hard job to be found. The job is mostly learning new things and working safe. Great benefits, bosses who care and lots of opportunity for advancement.

Cons

Swing shift is only a con if you have the wrong mindset. Day shift = plenty of time in the afternoon to spend with family, afternoon shift leaves you plenty of time for appointments and shopping and Midnights you can sleep while the kids are at school and family time in the afternoon.
