Pros
Cliffs Natural Resources pays their employees very well. Even at the lowest pay grade you are getting more than 22 dollars an hour.
Cons
Working for a mine you never know when you might get laid off. My father worked at United Taconite for 38 years and just like that he got laid off last fall for almost an entire year. he only recently got back to work. Job security is hard to come by even though it is a union job.
