      Great on a CV, hard to break in to staff positions unless you come from outside of CCF.

      Pros

      Top flight facilities and research opportunities. World class researchers. Cleveland is actually a pretty cool city. Very affordable housing and nice parks.

      Cons

      M.D. staff are treated as godly. But since they pay the bills, I guess its fair. Grad students get paid nothing, as do post-docs. Might be a bit jaded since I worked professionally before cutting pay by 75% to come back for PhD. Staff PhD's - some have 'it', some seem to be treading water until they get forced to move on.

      Pros

      The Clinic is a fun place to work. The people employed here are more than qualified to do their job. You do get plenty of time off when needed and you are able to pretty much work where you qualify to work.

      Cons

      Behind the times in technology as far as computers are concerned. Exempt salary employees get treated like dirt at some times. Raises are very small if you get one at all. It's easy to get lost in the shuffle here. There is too much work for the amount of people in IT. Industry avg. is 250 computer per administrator, we currently have about 400 per. Bad neighborhood.
