Pros

Engineering teams have genuine autonomy here. The pace is fast but the tooling investment is real (we dogfood our own product heavily, which keeps us honest). Remote-friendly culture that doesn't feel disconnected. The problems are interesting at scale, and you get to work with sharp people across the board.

Cons

Growth means things move fast, sometimes faster than processes can keep up. Context-switching can be heavy, especially if you need to juggle between multiple initiatives.

Pros

- I've worked at ClickUp for 3 years now. In this time I have had 3 titles Senior Engineer -> Staff Engineer -> Engineering Manager. Of all the places I have worked I can say this is the first place where high performers are appreciated and rewarded appropriately. - Lots of challenging technical + customer specific use cases. I can say I have grown more as an engineer due to how complex of an platform ClickUp is. - Lots of ownership. If you want to have impact you are very much so enabled to do so. - Talent pool is very deep. Some of the best engineers I have worked with have been at ClickUp. - Always improving around engineering and businesses processes. - Remote first environment and culture is over all fantastic.

Cons

- Low performers or those looking to skate by well not thrive in this environment. - ClickUp is an ever changing environment. If data changes that might change our direction and need some flexibility. Likely will get pulled in multiple directions and need the ability to juggle that. - Very hands on from upper management. Expect to have feedback from CEO level down. I personally like this passion, but to some would be a con.

Pros

Base salary compensation is good. There are some good perks and benefits. There are some smart people The product has some traction. plenty of funds to survive this economic environment. No work/life balance

Cons

Complete lack of leadership or strategy in engineering. This could be coming from product and business (since I don't have visibility into how it gets pushed down) but not sure. Low standard hiring loop and interview process. You will be thrown into the fire and won't be set up for success. Figure it out on your own. No coordination or strategy from upper management. Monolithic architecture makes scaling hard. The product has tons of bugs and customer complaints and the organization has no patience or focus to solve the quality problems. Infrastructure is complex, poorly designed, and hard to manage. The infrastructure is not in code and therefore hard to replicate. performance problems galore.
