Pros

Good pay and benefits. Opportunities to grow within the company. Great people!

Cons

Their direction is not clear, Always trying to add pointless features instead of fixing the buggy product. Your performance is always valued on how many features you have developed vs how you have helped the product become stable. All hands are always rude. People just get fired very often.

Pros

Decent pay and a lot of great co-workers. Amazing sales team and great numbers, so they're probably not doing layoffs soon.

Cons

Middle and upper management are disconnected from reality and don't seem to be familiar with any of the literature in the field. Looks like they recently read Radical Candor, probably in response to enormous issues around turnover. Horrendous piles of tech-debt, including a big-database architecture right out of the 90's. Bias towards reactive, tactical behavior and embracing the sunk-cost fallacy.

Pros

The contributors actually doing the work are the ones keeping this company afloat. Management is very inexperienced.

Cons

I would not recommend working here. You'll be asked to do 2x-3x the work you probably are used to, with ever-increasing responsibilities. There isn't a way to make money off of the equity now that they raised at the worst possible time from an employees' equity perspective. They've seemed to master the fact that you can just lie to employees as long as you seem confident, smile, and don't back down. Take the other negative reviews as truth. The company is unfortunately great at faking positive reviews, inflating follower numbers (was a company the founder initially started), and appearing more successful than they are in effort to create buzz. They do this on other social outlets, and lie with employee equity packages as well. Much of it is based around early-career workers who wouldn't know any different and are impressionable.
