      Micromanagement and toxic positivity

      Pros

      at first, I liked the feeling of community, albeit one that quickly proved itself to be fake. The benefits were also pretty solid.

      Cons

      They had also begun micromanaging to a level of extremity that made it miserable to work there. They used Tableu and other software to track your every movement, how long it took for you to complete each ticket, spaces between tickets, and so much more — it felt like you couldn’t breathe. We had more supervision than a toddler playing with pointy objects.

      ClickUp continues to be an interesting place to work

      Pros

      I've been with ClickUp for several years. The very early days (like most early startups) were filled with energizing work, but lots of challenges and risk of burnout. These days the pace isn't frenetic or at risk for burnout, but work continues to be interesting and rewarding as the organization is constantly seeking to improve and grow. For me, it is a great balance.

      Cons

      Things will change, and change quickly as shifts in focus and prioritization reflect the rapid growth of the market and product. Avoiding stagnation isn't much of a con, but if you prize stability it won't be a great fit.
