Pros

Coworkers are amazing and really great, smart and engaging Good benefits.

Cons

For a company that flaunts and references its core values on a daily basis… I’ve fixed them for you. (Don´t worry. It´s in brand voice). The new and improved Core Values 3.0 makes it easier than ever before to decide NOT to work at ClickUp, create a beautiful life and career far away from this company all in one place. In addition to a brand new look and feel, ClickUp Core Values are now more straightforward and honest than ever before. #01 The worst management experience, period. Makes problems and says no to employee growth. #02 ClickUp leadership really stinks #03 Progress toward over-promising and under-delivering #04 Work hard and get no recognition #05 Maintain 1% of platform uptime every day #06 Be indirect #07 Find joy, and have fun by not working at ClickUp #08 Random acts of firing #09 Petty and micromanaging (Check out original core values here! https://clickup.com/about)

Pros

Everyone in the company is very friendly and well aligned on the same core values Lots of autonomy Great management Easily able to have a voice to change things Flexible work hours and location It's great to actually use the product you're working on every day

Cons

The company is experiencing a huge period of growth right now, so a lot of things are still in flux and constantly changing, which can be quite frustrating. I would imagine this will settle down though in the next 6-12 months. There is still no clearly defined career path within the engineering department, again this is something that will hopefully be resolved in the short - mid term. Remote culture still needs some work, but this is fairly typical of most tech companies.

Pros

TL;DR: - Recognize hard work and reward it - Support employees growth - Support employees through hard times - Great engineering culture - Super electric energy I have felt extremely welcomed, heard, supported, and recognized since I have joined. I have grown a ton, learned to interview, learned to mentor and provide feedback, and helped with more features and projects than ever before. If you rise to the task, there is a lot of opportunities here and you get a lot of support to move forward!

Cons

A lot of ambiguity, so if it is not your thing, don't go for it. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and dizzy in the face of all the engineering challenges that we encounter. Always going back to our core values helps prioritize and make choices in the face of those challenges, but if that's not your thing, don't go for it.

Pros

Some of the best reasons are the people- ClickUp has the most unique individuals who all are themselves. You can get in great conversation with just about anyone! Culture- the culture is built on ClickUp's core values... which they actually encourage, train on, reward based on following and more. They start off your employment with them by giving you a personal growth book. I don't know of many companies that do that! Determination of all- Everyone is so driven, focused, and growth minded which provides a positive environment.

Cons

ClickUp is still a startup, there are tons of moving pieces... always! If you are someone that is not good with change, then ClickUp might not be for you. But if you love change, it's a match made in heaven! Because of all the moving pieces, it does feel at times like there could have been more role-specific training when hired. They are playing catch up with that aspect now.

Pros

The people I work with are incredible and the benefits are great.

Cons

Do NOT trust what you read in the job description or what they tell you during your interview! What is advertised as a job that's "flexible" with schedules and may require "some" weekend shifts, quickly turned into a job that is NOT flexible at all with your schedule. **BE ADVISED: Working holidays is mandatory. Working every weekend is guaranteed. Working OVERNIGHT shifts is non-negotiable. Despite what they may tell you in your interview. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY.** Please consider these things before accepting a position within Customer Support at ClickUp. They will tell you anything to get you through the door. (I can only speak for Customer Support) They couldn't care less about your personal life and mental well being. They only care about "providing the best customer service, period." And they will use that "core value" to excuse themselves from treating you like a human. The benefits are great but nothing is worth losing time to spend on things that really matter. At the end of the day, ClickUp DOES NOT MATTER more than the time you spend during the holidays with family or the weekends you spend watching your children play sports!

We appreciate your feedback and are disappointed to know your experience was not reflective of what we're building here at ClickUp. Some employees do work overtime, but we no longer have mandatory overtime in Customer Support. Additionally, while some Customer Support team members are assigned weekend and overnight shifts, not every Support employee is assigned to these shifts. Our Support team is strategically scheduled to best ensure our users have access to any help they need. As we continue to grow, maintaining transparency is a key priority for us as a company. Please know your feedback is being shared with our leadership team, and we hope you feel empowered to share your experience with your manager.
