Pros

Although on the verge of growing beyond the small business category, CSA is still striving to maintain the closeness of a small company. Despite having employees spread across the country now, the company leadership still tries to meet with everyone and continually tries to focus on the employees and create a good work environment. Individuals are not just numbers to fulfill a contract. Paid holidays is on-par or better than industry (10 days) and PTO ranges from 2-3 weeks depending on your level. Health benefits are good and 401k matching is at 5%, which is good, but the difference from some other companies is that you are almost immediately vested without a long waiting period. Everyone is easy to work with and the focus is on supporting the client (government contract support) rather than trying to compete against each other.

Cons

It is still a smaller company, so like any small company they live and die by the next contract they win. As with any support contractor, there is always the risk that you could be out of a job if the government cuts your contract or you don't win the follow-on contract. This can cause some anxiety, but that is the case for any support contractor, including the big ones. A number of their people initiatives could be considered goofy by some because they are meant to be light-hearted; how it's received just depends on the individual.
