Good experience can be gained within a hospital environment. Opportunity to make overtime pay.

Cons

Inflexible schedule, low pay, culture can be toxic at times. High turnover is normal and you will be called in to cover no-shows or be short staffed regularly. Difficult to maintain a work-life balance.

Pros

This workplace was great to build experience and get a flow for a medium volume reference laboratory. The staff is generally well trained in their specialties, and the workplace although having nearly 25-30 people in the lab at a time also had a "home" feel to it.

Cons

The pay was pretty lackluster, although fair considering the difficulty of the work itself (includes the evening/night differential). There tended to be a few characters that seemingly evaded consequence due to seniority or attitude, but elsewise everything else was cohesive.
