Pros

Some nice employees as there are anywhere. That's about it.

Cons

Cold, creepy environment. People in charge have cold, flat eyes. Strong favoritism and bullying. You are at the mercy of weird, insecure, control-freak egos of some of the people in charge. This is a "clock-watcher" kind of place where every day feels like a day in prison. One of the bosses actually said: "The creative process isn't sitting around thinking things up; the creative process is stealing other people's ideas." If you are a creative person, that should tell you something. if you aren't a creative person, you may find a way of surviving by pretending you're living with an abusive family.

Pros

there are no pros for working for this family run franchise

Cons

Ask them how many designers have left on their own in the last 2-3 years. The number is large. That really says everything. Extremely toxic work environment

Pros

There no positives that I experienced while working here.

Cons

The owner takes great pride in making certain those working at this location are aware of her accumulation of academic degrees and previous career accolades. That in itself is not the issue, she openly looks down upon anyone who isn’t of financial value to her or otherwise. During the training period for this job, she blatantly laughed in my face multiple times and chose to then snidely reference areas I was falling behind in during whole team meetings while addressing a room of 20 plus people. She refused to say hello or good morning to those she seemed to feel were beneath her. During one unpleasant interaction she walked into the training area and warmly greeted a separate new hire from a different department, yet when I smiled and said good morning, she turned to me with a hostile expression and stared at me for a good 5 seconds before exiting the room. Several times she sneered at my clothing as I entered the office in the AM. There is a very strict dress code which is hard to adhere to when you have not yet begun earning money. Higher status sellers are permitted to wear certain types of clothing that lower status sellers will be reprimanded for wearing. For the duration of my training she seemed to use eye contact as a form of reward, only doing so when I had passed a test or done well in a particularly portion of the day. There are cameras everywhere, in the group meeting room there is militarily level multi cam set up for meetings that to me felt deeply unsettling. I suspect there are also cameras in the training and interview rooms that she uses to observe anyone she chooses without their knowledge or permission. Most of the interactions with other various levels of management felt performative and scripted, as if approved of by the owner beforehand. Despite selling you on a fun and creative job with high earning potential, and the ability to take lots of time off, the employees I interacted with did not seem happy and certainly worked 7 days a week in some form or another. Overall, I wouldn’t want to be friends with the type of person who would thrive in this sort of environment. I imagine it’s a particular flavor of hell to skirt around that lady’s massive ego on a daily basis.
