      Great place for growth opportunties

      I have been with Cloudera for over a year and a half and have already been presented an opportunity by my manager regarding opportunity to move into a growth role. My management is always creating opportunties for us to get more involved in the organization outside of my own team. We are well compensated in comparison to the market here. All my coworkers are friendly and helpful, no matter where they are located in the world

      Good company with no learning

      Pros

      Good company culture. Extra leaves. Unlimited Leaves. Good WFH support, telework support. Overtime is compensated in on-call weeks Great managers

      Cons

      No learning from existing tech-stack, makes it hard to progress. The product is an old monolith that is hard to scale unless redesigned. Increments are poor, sometimes almost non-existent You solve 20 JIRA tickets parallely instead of solving meaningful problems/designing systems. Too many adhoc tasks, too many releases to track. Less coding more management, meetings and repeated discussions. Everyday burnout is common , even if you work 9-5.

We are doing everything we can to push the needle and this year being named ‘Gartner's customer choice for Hybrid Data Platform’ shows that our efforts are paying off. However, saying that we need to continue to be focused on innovation and continuous improvement. Listening to our employees is just as important as listening to our customers and we will certainly take this feedback into consideration as we move forward.
