Pros

You will learn a lot working at Cloudera. This is a great company to have on your resume.

Cons

A lot... Home offices (San Francisco & Palo Alto) are really the only employees that enjoy and benefit from the company perks. Other offices do not receive free lunches or company sponsored parties. In addition they will not allow you fly in to participate. "Legacy" employees - anyone over or close to three years are hard to work with or complain about. It can be hard to grow if you're not in sales. Company moral seems to be low, and disorganized.

Pros

Not anymore. It used to be what seems like a vibrant startup - the days are long gun.

Cons

The impression can be expressed very shortly: 'tis a hellhole. They haven't bear with the intensive growth from a smallish company to a bigger one. A number of core people have started jumping the boat because the initial good culture has never been preserved and new middle-level management has failed to do their job. Don't go there because it is most dreadful place ran by guys and gals, who happen to have an impression that they have a biggest egoes in the city. Nay, universe! Plus, the management is circa Sun Micro 2007+ - they all know what and _how_ engineers have to do their jobs and crack the whip every time they think you're deviating from the course. People who worked for Sun would know what I meant. If you are looking for a good and cozy work place where your skills and brain will be appreciate - look someplace else. Seriously.
